About Me

I am a Certified Marriage Consultant. I am an expert in treating relationship issues of all kinds and also help individuals who are looking to improve their own functioning in relationships. I am rich with life experience and have helped couples, adult individuals, and families since 2001. I began my training by studying some of the best counselors and psychiatrists working with couples struggling to survive. I am extensively trained and certified as a facilitator in a model of relationship analysis and skill development entitled PREPARE/ENRICH. This is the leading relationship inventory and skill-building program used nationally and internationally. PREPARE/ENRICH is custom tailored to a couple's relationship and provides couple exercises to build their relationship skills. Today I am busy in my marriage consulting practice where I offer an affordable option for individuals and couples to repair and restore their relationships. It is truly an honor and a privilege to practice relationship building, marriage consulting, and work with individuals seeking answers and guidance. Reaching out for help with your relationship requires courage. Call or text today for a brief phone consultation and then decide if this is right for you.

My appreciation for the struggle within my own challenges and extensive life experience level the playing field with my clients. My model of consulting is very respectful of the human condition, never sitting in judgment, and reflects an abiding passion for supporting clients' innate ability to come back from adversity and face their challenges.

In addition to enjoying a busy private practice and teaching, I have written many articles on marriage and family and how to avoid divorce. In an era where all too many therapists and counselors recommend divorce all too quickly, I have made it my life's work to keep families together when others say quit. The fact is that there are very predictable stages in the growth of a marriage or relationship and many divorce unknowing that they could have made it through their challenging times. This includes people who have experienced infidelity, addiction issues and even abuse. In addition, I have developed a program that can save marriages from divorce even when one partner is not ready or willing to work on the marriage. This is often the case, and it is a common for one partner to be more interested in saving the marriage, at least initially.

I practice Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). As the name suggests SFBT is future-focused, goal directed, and focuses on solutions. All therapy is a form of specialized conversations. With SFBT the conversation is directed toward developing and achieving the client's vision of solutions. How one lives in relationships depends on the way one thinks about one's own part in any dynamic. I have been said to have a gift for understanding what works best with each individual, as everyone is different and brings different skills to the relationship.

I grew up in Atlanta Ga. I am the proud father of a wonderful daughter and mentor to a young boy who spends weekends in our home. I received my bachelor's degree from Louisiana State University. For several years, I created a family business while also continuing to study marriage and family therapy from some of the nations best practitioners. After completing certification as a facilitator in Marriage Preparation and Enrichment I began my private practice working with couples and individuals to restore and revive marriages in crisis.
